NQA Leadership

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and am a graduate of West Virginia University. As an employee of Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh, I was Human Resources Director for Mellon's mortgage banking operations across the country.

I relocated to Ebensburg, PA (about 75 miles East of Pittsburgh) when I wed Frank. We developed a horse breeding facility and I became quite experienced as the attending midwife to the pregnant broodmares and the pediatric nurse to the foals.

We recently sold the breeding facility, and though I don't miss the hard work to maintain the farm, I really do miss my very quiet all night stitching sessions shared only with a grumpy broodmare in labor.

I credit my love of quilting and other needlework to genes from my paternal great Grandmother. I am a charter member and Past President of NQA #415, The Log House Quilters' Guild of Johnstown, PA and attend meetings with The Ebensburg Stitchers (a possible future NQA chapter).

In order to be productive as the Chapter Services Chairperson, I cannot operate as a "soloist." There needs to be a "chorus" of members offering their ideas, suggestions and opinions to direct my actions and trigger positive change within the NQA.
