"Quetzal Quilt"
Dagmar Yaddow
88" X 69"
This quilt was made for a Guatemalan infant boy being adopted by American parents. The Guatemalan national bird, the Quetzal, is three-dimensional and appliquéd; the pieced Delectable Mountain blocks represent volcanos. It is quilted and tied and copyright protected.
Dagmar, currently Recording Secretary of the Guild, received her 25 year pin last year. She works in the Starr Library in Rhinebeck and is a volunteer in Friends of the Starr Library. She credits the Woodstock Quilt Supply Block of the Month program for pushing her into appliqué which is now her first love in quilting.
NQA and its Chapters present these quilts to be seen and enjoyed on our website - but not copied by any means. These quilts remain the artistic property of the makers. Standard copyright rules apply.
