"Rainbow Diamonds in the Snow"
Artist: Shirley Muller Bernard
Machine quilted by Cheryl Potter
84"X 67"
This quilt is one of two quilts made for twin beds in the sleeping loft of the maker's log home in the Adirondacks. It is flannel backed for cool fall nights. The quilt is made from 3 inch strips gathered from a strip exchange with Wiltwyck members.
Shirley began quilting when she was invited to a local quilting bee in Nebraska in 1975. She's felt compelled to quilt ever since and in particular, enjoys the meditative nature of hand quilting. Shirley inspires other members when she "Shows and Tells" an abundance of her current work, meticulously crafted even as she fights Parkinson's Disease.
NQA and its Chapters present these quilts to be seen and enjoyed on our website - but not copied by any means. These quilts remain the artistic property of the makers. Standard copyright rules apply.
