The Little Quilt Auction is held annually at the National Quilt Association's Annual Quilt Show. NQA’s 45th Annual Quilt Show will be held May 23 through May 25, 2014 in Columbus, OH. The generosity of contributors and buyers in the past has made this an eagerly anticipated tradition at the Annual NQA Show. We cordially invite you to donate miniatures, doll quilts, and small wallhangings to support this worthwhile program. The Little Quilt Auction is the event that is held to raise funds for the NQA Grant Program. Your contribution of a quilt or two helps to make a colorful display and gives people many choices when bidding. All quilts entries must be 28 inches or less on the largest side. All entry forms must be submitted by April 1, 2014, and the quilts must be received by April 30, 2014. The name of the quilt, the name of the maker or makers and contact information for each quilt must be included with each submission.
A selection of these quilts is offered at Silent Auction each day of the show. Bidding on the show floor for this event begins at 9 A.M. and ends at 3:30 P.M.
A final selection of quilts is available for viewing on the show floor and prepared for the live auction on Saturday evening. A Viewer’s Choice ballot is available to attendees throughout the show hours on Friday and Saturday and counted for awarding the ribbon to both the maker and to the winning bidder for that quilt at the live auction on Saturday evening.
Each donation quilt is signed or permanently labeled on the back. Late donations are held for the next auction. A receipt for the monies raised is provided at the conclusion of the auction for personal records.
For any questions concerning the Little Quilt Auction, please contact the LQA Coordinator.
For your convenience, use the on-line LQA Entry Form. Copies of the form will automatically be sent to the LQA Coordinator and to your email. Instructions for submitting your quilt will be emailed to you.
Consider making this a challenge for your Guild, Beelets, Sewing group, or as an individual challenge. You may submit more than one quilt. The NQA Grant Committee awards over $10,000 each year so your help is very much appreciated. You can help the NQA Grant Program by either contributing quilts to the Little Quilt auction or by bidding on the quilts.
